Kelly McCormack is a well rounded dancer with experience and training in 15 dance disciplines, some of which include ballet, tap, jazz, modern, contemporary, character, celtic, pointe, hiphop, belly dance, samba and more. She hails from Virginia where she started her career at Diggs School of Dance in Gloucester, VA and then continued her training at the Chamber Ballet in Williamsburg, VA. With Chamber Ballet, McCormack performed regularly in many classic productions from the Nutcracker to The Secret Garden. In 2004 and 2006, her participation with Chamber Ballet took her on two cultural exchange programs in Heidelberg, where she performed with dancers from all over Europe and learned to communicate through the language of dance.
In addition to dance, McCormack performed with her local theatre group in classics such as A Chorus Line, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and stage managed The Good Doctor. In 2004 Kelly McCormack founded In His Steps Worship Dance Ministries, a dance studio located in Virginia that is dedicated to the expression of faith through dance. With In His Steps she has performed in and produced over fifteen performances. From Spring 2008 through Winter 2009, McCormack performed at Busch Gardens Europe in a variety of shows.
In January 2010 McCormack made the move to NYC to further her dance career. She got off to a great start when she performed as an actress and dancer in the original cast of the off-Broadway show Two Gentlemen of Lebowski and then moved on to perform as a dancer in Myles of Styles at Lincoln Center.
In early 2010 Kelly joined Valeria Entertainment where she forayed into international dance styles. She is enjoying performing with a company that has such a focus on audience participation, joy and variety of dance genres.
